La femme du magnat de la presse est plusieurs fois nominée parmi les femmes les mieux habillées du monde par le Dress Institute de New York. La robe reproduit la forme d'un trèfle à quatre feuille (four leaf clover).

Silver print of a soundphoto, typed caption in margin. Caption reads: "New York… Mrs William Randolph Hearst, Jr is shown in the gown she will wear at the coronation ball. The skirt is shaped in a four leaf clover design of white satin and black velvet. The bodice is adorned with an 18th century French bonnet of diamonds. She also wears ruby and diamonds earrings. Mrs Hearst, Jr is the wife of Mr Hearst Jr., publisher of the New York journal American and chairman of the editorial board of the Hearst newspapers."
