Louis Vuitton - Trunk maker's card, 1 rue Scribe in Paris and 149 New Bond Street in London (1900s)
A fine example of a very rare 1900s postcard from the Louis Vuitton house, then located at 1 rue Scribe in Paris and 149 New Bond Street in London. The postcard reproduces a sculpture by Vidal depicting an elegant woman with bags and a trunk. The postcard mentions the factory in Asnières.
Louis Vuitton moved to 149 New Bond Street in 1900 and opened its boutique on Avenue des Champs Elysées in 1914.
